The company K.P. Litos & Co. P.C. operates in the field of special geotechnical projects, specializing in horizontal and directional drilling.
It was founded in 2008 by Konstantinos Litos, Mechanical Engineer, continuing a family tradition that began in 1972. With over five decades of experience, the company has participated in major underground network projects in Greece and abroad, covering sewage, water supply, fiber optics, electrical cables and natural gas projects.
Having full and contemporary equipment – from thrust and directional drilling machines, auger boring and machines for replacing existing networks, to excavators, pressure pumps and welding machines- the company has the ability to perform horizontal drilling with a diameter of Φ80 to Φ2000 and a length exceeding 1000 meters, depending on the geotechnical conditions.

Replacement of pipes or cables without excavation
Horizontal drilling technology can be used to replace pipelines, saving time and money, as there is no need for major excavations and interventions in the surrounding area. Whether reaching the existing pipeline from a small entry point (breaking the old pipe and immediately installing the new one), installing a new pipeline within the old one, or creating a completely new pipeline network, this method can be particularly useful in urban areas.
Pipe string pushing with simultaneous excavation – Auger Boring – from 12 to 60 inches
Trenchless drilling method where a metal pipe is installed in the ground by pushing it from the entrance trench to the exit trench. The soil is transported out of the pipe and into the entrance trench by the impeller of the screws located inside the pipe. This method is used for the installation of water, sewage, natural gas pipes, etc., under roads, train lines and generally in areas where excavation is not possible.
Technical installation of metal pipes using pneumatic hammers
With this method, metal pipes are installed underground, without excavation, using air compressors and pneumatic hammers. Ideal method for installing pipelines under train tracks, as it minimizes disturbance to the ground surface, while simultaneously installing the pipeline. The soil is removed from the pipe after its installation is complete, minimizing the risk of subsidence.
Horizontal Directional Drilling - with new methods and continuous renewal of the technique and Horizontal Drilling in any rocky terrain
The horizontal directional drilling method is a method of installing underground networks and cables, with minimal intervention on the ground surface. This method is particularly useful in cases of areas where excavation is not possible, as well as in areas where the passage of pipelines could be a complex process, due to existing networks, highways, natural landscapes, etc., as it is the method with the least intervention in the natural space.
